Have you ever woken up or gone through the day with that ugh feeling? The thoughts of “Is this all there is to life?” playing over and over again; work, chores, obligations, a little T.V., work, chores…… We all have those days once in a while, but when those days turn into weeks, months or even years it may be a sign you lost your MoJo! ( Mojo: talisman, magic power, helps you feel alive!!) Don’t worry, it’s not a fatal condition, you just have to look for it and when you find it, keep it engaged so you don’t lose it again.
I’ve been there, sitting on my back steps crying. “What’s wrong, what’s missing??” So I started looking at my life, what I’d been through, what was I doing and where did I want to be and uh-oh I was in a major rut. Yuck…..not only was I in a rut but my MoJo split and left me flailing. “Come back to me pleeeeaase…..I’m sorry, I won’t ignore you again!”
So I pulled on my big girl pants and got to work. My life and how I felt about it was my responsibility. I started experimenting, trying new things, pushing at the boundaries of my life. I got a bucket list going and started to check some of the items off that list. I also took time to remember some the dreams and passions of my youth and embraced their significance. One thing I found for me, was being creative in any form brought a feeling of peaceful aliveness.
