Do you ever feel stuck, frozen in place when you know you want to accomplish something? You want to grow your business, get in shape, explore a new career, heal a relationship, etc., yet you find yourself doing everything but that. Well, your not alone, I’ve been starting and stopping these blogs for a while now and so many times I think, “Great idea, I have to write about that” suddenly I want to clean out my closets. I’m learning that fear is at the center of stagnation. I’m not talking about fear that feels obvious like a bear just walked onto your path, a fear that is more sinister and shows up with indecision, rejection of an idea, anger, frustration, avoidance, etc. Sometimes it’s fear of going deep to discover what we want because we’re afraid of what we’ll find. It could be the fear of failure, success or we get what we worked for and it’s not what we expected. I know I often worry about what others will think of me if I truly live out what I want and honestly, do others really think of me that much? There are many books, CD’S, youtube videos on every one of these subjects and the subject of fear in general. I encourage you to be life learners and what a great subject to explore because fear is at the center of a lot of things that hold us back.

Now we stand at the foothills of what’s next. Staring at the hurdle to get over, the mountain to climb, the list of to do’s that have to get done and it all seems so overwhelming. What I’m learning works best is to concentrate on just two things. First the ultimate end results, what is it that I want to accomplish, then just work on the one tiny next step. If I were to think of everything I have to do to be successful I would curl up in a ball and sleep away my life so instead one step at a time. Just make sure that one small step is in the direction of your ultimate goal.

Since we are all so different with different goals and agendas it’s hard to tell you exactly what to do that is why I encourage you again to be life long learners, explore what is out there, delve into what interest you or what is a challenge to you. But one thing I will absolutely tell you to do (which I tell myself every day) is to take some kind of action. You read a book or watch a video, learn something than do something, try something even if your not sure or you may fail just take action. Get a mentor, a coach, accountability partner, friend, spouse, someone to encourage you and keep you on track. I would gladly partner with you on this journey as a coach if you are ready to take the next step, just send me an email.

REMEMBER:   ACTION  =  FRICTION  =  HEAT  =  UNFROZEN !!   GO FOR IT !!
