I’ve been out of touch lately, a lot has been going on. I’ve been listening to my own advice. I’ve been seeking answers to many of my life’s questions. Like, “Why do I have and others do not?” “Am I truly living with my eyes wide open, or do I use blinders to keep out the truth of a situation?” and a very popular question, “What is my purpose?” As I get older and see the years flying by, it’s a question, for me, that becomes more important to answer.

Saying yes to life and getting outside my comfort zone has opened up a lot of opportunities. But with opportunity comes more responsibility. So to keep balanced and not go crazy I’ve had to set aside MaryAnn Talks for a bit to work on a more pressing agenda. But as I get that going a little more smoothly I will get back to this passion of blogging, making videos (on youtube under Mary Ann Marzano) and speaking.

What has kept me busy you might ask? Well I’ve started a nonprofit called Organic Change for Haiti. It supports a children’s home in Haiti for orphaned, abandoned children, many who were in need of medical attention. We house, feed, educate 19 awesome children ages 2 to 9.
It’s a huge challenge and I need to listen to my own advice. Stay focused, don’t let set backs discourage me, break down projects into little tasks, etc. But mostly I have to have faith and believe that I can do this with the help of other peoples kindness and generosity.

AND a side note, I am getting ready to give a TEDx talk. If you don’t know about TED talks, check them out. Very informative and inspiring!
